It can also double as a footrest, as long as no one is coming up the stairs to use it as a hand rail, as it's intended for. Because of the extra rails, there's less leg room. Though it's pretty close to view the stage, it's situated next to the entrance/exit of the section, where there's heavy foot traffic and a wall to your left that somewhat obstructs your view.
